SSOW Planner

£50k plus package (£5k car allowance or company car scheme, family bupa healthcare scheme, pension scheme, 5 weeks holiday, birthday off, annual payrise).

Our client are searching for an experienced SSOW Planner to support in the delivery of a major rail & infrastructure project, the position will be based primarily out of a site office close to Sheffield but will require occasional paid travel to other site locations.

Our client is a Principal Contractor supporting large infrastructure railway companies by providing great quality solutions for many flagship projects across the United Kingdom. They are looking for a Safe System of Work Planner to support the project management team delivering multi-discipline projects on a permanent basis. This role will be hybrid with offices in Sheffield and Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing safe system of work packs
• Attending planning meetings
• Inputting line blockages
• Updating SSOW pack trackers
• Helping with day-to-day planning of projects

Requirements:

• Accuracy of maintaining safety critical reports
• Safe System of Work Planning experience in Rail
• Railway knowledge / experience is essential
• Experience of Possession Planning including use of Possession Planning System (PPS)
• Good IT literacy & knowledge of Microsoft Office
• PTS and SSOWP competency - Essential
• Safety critical competencies such as ES (Engineering Supervisor) and COSS
