Job Description
The Belridge Complex Surface Mechanical Team is seeking to fill an SRS Mechanic position. The role requires the ability to determine priorities and apply initiative to address critical issues as they arise. Responsibilities may include coordinating resources and equipment to support operational needs.
The successful candidate must be effective at troubleshooting mechanical systems and process equipment, with a strong focus on equipment reliability, Root Cause Failure Analysis, and Lean principles. They will report to Clay Hopkins and will work through the Work and Material Flow Process or the Planning/Scheduling Process depending on the type and complexity of the job.

Requirements:
- Repair and maintain gas compression equipment, including engines and compressors (e.g., Waukesha, Ariel, Ajax)
- Maintain and service rotating equipment, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps (multi-stage, vertical, and horizontal)
- Perform maintenance on air compressors, including reciprocating and rotary systems
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs to support equipment reliability
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues across a variety of systems, including unfamiliar equipment
- Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify and eliminate recurring failures
- Analyze operational data to improve performance and increase Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications, including setup and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and customer specifications
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding operational status and issues
- Document maintenance activities using E-Maintenance/CMMS systems
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Hands-on experience with gas compression equipment (Waukesha, Ariel, Ajax, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of gas compression systems and processes
- Experience with pumps and rotating equipment, including centrifugal and positive displacement systems
- Working knowledge of lubrication practices, precision alignment, and equipment installation
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance techniques
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in mechanical systems
- Familiarity with Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
- Ability to analyze equipment performance data and improve reliability
- Experience supporting equipment installation and commissioning activities
- Proficiency with E-Maintenance or CMMS systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety
