What We Do
Expedites processing of award setup while ensuring data integrity
Reviews award documents to identify project details including terms and conditions and budgetary information
Enters award information into the official system of record
Coordinates with Project Administrators, Contract Negotiators, Proposal Administrators and System Member Compliance Officials to ensure compliance with TAMUS policies and procedures.

What You Need to Know
Salary: Hiring salary is $50,000/annually.
Please note: SRS offices are in College Station, Texas. New hires are required to complete training program in person – estimated timeframe is 4-6 weeks.
The SRS Research Administrator I on the Award and Account Setup Expediting Team is responsible for independently reviewing, interpreting and summarizing administrative and financial details of sponsored agreements including award terms and conditions, cost sharing requirements, budgets, sponsor regulations, deliverable requirements and System, state and federal policies and regulations. The position is also responsible for establishing project and account records in the research administration and financial accounting systems as well as preparing and distributing award summary notices to departments and System members.
Essential Duties/Tasks
New Award Establishment
Reviews and interprets award documents after award intake has been completed and summarizes terms and conditions and financial information into the A&M System accounting and research administration systems which includes, but is not limited to budget, revenue billing requirements, facilities and administrative cost rates, cost-sharing commitments, compliance regulations, reporting requirements, and deliverables.
Update Project Records for Modifications
Reviews modified documents received from sponsors.
Ensures proposals are handled and processed as needed for modifications.
Updates the electronic research administration system for all compliance, changes in terms and conditions, cost sharing, and deliverables.
Updates TAMUS financial system to reflect modifications for budget changes.
Liaison in SRS
Coordinates with SRS proposal administrators, contract negotiators, project administrators and accounts receivable with regard to data elements necessary for project and account establishment and modifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Liaison with System Member Compliance
Coordinates with TAMUS member compliance offices to ensure that the appropriate approvals have been obtained and logged in the official system of record.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
No prior experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong mathematical and comprehension skills.
Advanced experience using Word, Excel and FAMIS, and/or Maestro.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent critical thinking and analytical capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communications, organizational, interpersonal, proofreading, and time management skills.
Ability to apply problem-solving skills to complex problems, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
