Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Offshore Construction Engineer (Hook-up) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the hook-up and commissioning of offshore oil and gas facilities, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the hook-up and commissioning of offshore oil and gas facilities, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of all activities.
- Monitor and supervise the work of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Review and approve construction and commissioning procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with other project teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure timely completion of hook-up activities.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the hook-up process.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Prepare progress reports and provide updates to project management on the status of hook-up activities.
- Ensure that all hook-up activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, procedures, and HSE regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of offshore construction techniques, methods, and equipment.
- Proven experience in managing hook-up and commissioning activities for offshore oil and gas facilities.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience working in the UAE or the Middle East is preferred.
