Job Base Location- Loni Kalbhor, Pune

About the Role:

We are looking for a Procurement & Subcontracting professional responsible for managing NPR (Non-Production Requirements), capital subcontracting, service procurement, and BOM procurement. The role involves supplier identification and development, commercial negotiations, purchase order management, cost optimization, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services.

The candidate should also have working knowledge of ISO, OHSAS, and IRIS standards and ensure procurement activities comply with the organization’s quality, safety, and management-system requirements.

What you will be doing:

  1. Manage procurement activities for NPR / Non-Production Requirements, including office, plant, maintenance, consumables, tools, and other indirect materials.
  2. Handle BOM procurement by coordinating with production, planning, engineering, and stores to ensure timely availability of required components and materials.
  3. Manage capital procurement and subcontracting activities, including machinery, equipment, fabrication, tooling, and project-related requirements.
  4. Manage service procurement for maintenance, manpower, facility management, transportation, AMC, calibration, consultancy, and other business services.
  5. Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
  6. Float RFQs, prepare comparative statements, evaluate commercial offers, negotiate prices and commercial terms, and finalize suppliers.
  7. Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and subcontracting orders in line with approved requirements.
  8. Monitor supplier delivery schedules and ensure timely material/service delivery.
  9. Coordinate with internal departments to resolve material, quality, delivery, and commercial issues.
  10. Maintain appropriate procurement records, supplier documentation, quotations, comparative statements, POs, and agreements.
  11. Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives through supplier negotiations, alternate source development, and process improvements.
  12. Monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service parameters.
  13. Ensure procurement activities comply with approved company policies, procedures, and authorization matrix.
  14. Support supplier audits, evaluations, and development programs.
  15. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of procurement transactions.
  16. Coordinate with Finance for invoice, payment, and commercial issue resolution.
  17. Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of procurement-related audit observations.

Quality, Safety & Management Systems

  1. Working knowledge of ISO management systems, including relevant requirements related to procurement and supplier management.
  2. Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 / Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems and its procurement-related requirements.
  3. Knowledge of IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) requirements, particularly with respect to supplier management, quality, traceability, and procurement processes.
  4. Ensure suppliers and subcontractors meet applicable quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
  5. Maintain required documentation for ISO/OHSAS/IRIS audits.
  6. Support implementation and continuous improvement of the organization's management-system procedures.

What will you bring along:

  1. Qualification: BE / B.Tech / MBA in Procurement, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience in procurement, subcontracting, vendor development, or supply-chain management.
  3. Experience in a manufacturing / engineering / railway / automotive / industrial equipment environment will be preferred.
  4. Strong procurement and subcontracting management skills.
  5. Good knowledge of BOM, technical specifications, and procurement processes.
  6. Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
  7. Ability to evaluate commercial quotations and prepare comparative statements.
  8. Good understanding of supplier development and performance evaluation.
  9. Knowledge of ERP/SAP procurement processes will be an advantage.
  10. Good analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  11. Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and meet delivery timelines.
  12. Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
