Job Description
We're growing fast and pushing boundaries across the EU. What began as a local Croatian idea has evolved into one of the leading European fintech platforms that brings a wide range of financial services to millions of users. Driven by innovation and a clear vision, we keep expanding into new markets, building new features, and proving that great ideas can travel far. From everyday payments and money transfers to Aircash Mastercard, we make managing money easy, wherever life takes you.
We're not just a fintech. We're a team that mixes serious tech with just the right amount of fun. The ones who challenge complexity and find smarter ways to get things done.
Different backgrounds, one shared goal: make everyday payments faster and more effortless.
No forms, no nonsense. Just freedom at your fingertips.
As Aircash keeps growing, we’re expanding our operations capability with a dedicated unit, the Aircash Operations Centre, focused on production stability, real-time system monitoring and release control. We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineering Team Lead to lead it and shape how it works as it scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop service-level objectives (SLIs/SLOs) per service, align alerting with them, and further develop our monitoring and performance tracking tools, with a focus on alert quality and early detection of emerging problems
- Maintain and refine service criticality levels, with triage rules and the right response for each severity
- Lead incident response and develop the incident management process: triage, escalation, leading serious incidents and keeping business teams informed
- Maintain runbooks for known failure types, lead post-incident reviews, follow actions through to closure, and drive root-cause fixes for recurring issues
- Own the production release path: release readiness criteria, rollback, a maintenance calendar with release freeze periods, and monitoring and post-release watch procedures for every new feature, plus the handover into standard operations
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and runbook steps, and build a production knowledge base with the help of AI tools, so knowledge is shared across the team
- Organise 24/7 shift coverage: rotation, shift handover and a sustainable schedule
- Grow the team through hiring, onboarding and mentoring, and report on availability, time to detect and time to recover
- Support disaster recovery planning, regular testing of backup restoration, and the operational side of DORA and PCI DSS requirements: incident classification, logging and access rights reviews
Qualifications you bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, production operations or infrastructure, including at least 2 years as a team lead, shift lead or technical owner of an operational area
- Experience establishing monitoring or operational processes, not only maintaining them, and hands-on work with monitoring and alerting tools, with a clear understanding of the difference between metrics, logs and traces
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and release management
- Scripting and automation of operational tasks
- The ability to write procedures that someone else can follow at 3 a.m.
- Calm and clear communication under pressure
- A plus: experience in financial services or another regulated environment, organizing 24/7 shift work or on-call, knowledge of ITIL practices or service management certifications, and experience introducing AI tools into operational processes
What we bring to the table.
Innovation drives us, and we never stop asking "what's next?".
And because great work deserves great perks, here's what you can expect from day one:
- Growth isn't a buzzword here. You'll have access to real learning opportunities, both inside and outside the company
- Open feedback is part of our culture; we grow by listening, learning and sharing with each other
- Tasty, freshly prepared lunches every day, with options to suit different tastes and preferences
- Start your day off right – coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and snacks are waiting for you every morning in the kitchen
- Annual health check-ups to help you take care of your health without extra hassle
- A fully covered Multisport card and sports activities like padel to make staying active easy and enjoyable
- Christmas and Easter bonuses that bring a little extra ease to the holiday season
- For parents, extra support and time off for those milestone moments – from baby bonuses to the first days of kindergarten or school
- Extra vacation days to give you more time to unwind, recharge and do what you enjoy most
Step into a role where your ideas make an impact, your work has meaning, and every day brings something new to build or improve.
