Job Description

SRE-(CREQ254931)

Time: IST Night Hours ( 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM) or ( 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM ) depending on daylight savings.

Day: All 7 days

Services: Service Registry and ICE

Skills:

  1. Monitoring Tools like wavefront, splunk.
  2. Troubleshooting skills of Java Stack
  3. Good communication skills.
  4. AWS/K8S knowledge
  5. Experience in handling incidents and recovering the systems.

Responsibilities

  1. Handle PagerDuty, Slack, Email,
  2. Don’t snooze the Alert and your mobile.
  3. Don’t Assume and always validate alerts
  4. Respond to page within couple of minutes
  5. Priority is always Pages/ Customer.
  6. Fix the Runbooks.
  7. Inform Secondary & Team when you are involved in an Incident. Inform over slack and call up if no one joins when you need.
  8. Keep Runbooks, Dashboards, Automation handy (bookmark them) and always keep the local repos of automation to latest.
  9. Engage #ioc for engagement with other teams in Intuit. Don’t hesitate to open Incident.
  10. Few important slack to keep yourself informed about Intuit wide are #ioc, #p1-4incnotification
