Job Description

About the Role

The Sr. Warehouse Associate serves as a vital operational anchor and peer leader across daily warehouse, fulfillment, and shipping operations. In this role, you will ensure high-value commercial fitness equipment and components are accurately staged, verified, loaded, and dispatched safely and on schedule. Beyond standard material movement, you will operate as a trusted right-hand partner to warehouse leadership—mentoring and training team members, overseeing daily floor execution, and actively troubleshooting inventory and logistics hurdles.

You will regularly operate sit-down and stand-up/reach forklifts, utilize desktop SAP and RF scanners, and use email to investigate inventory variances, communicate order status directly with internal teams and external customers, and coordinate seamlessly with freight carriers and Customer Service. Success demands proactive ownership, strong communication, meticulous inventory discipline, and an uncompromised commitment to warehouse safety.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Work Schedule: 4x10 Schedule (Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM) + Friday half days (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM). Schedule flexibility and overtime may be mandatory based on shipping volumes.
  • Pay Rate: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience).

Responsibilities

  • Order Staging and Shipment Preparation: Pull and stage orders using pick sheets, follow FIFO inventory practices, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Load and unload trailers, verify shipments, and ensure orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • Team Support and Training: Assist the supervisor with onboarding and training new team members. Support cross-training initiatives to improve flexibility, coverage, and departmental efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a point of contact for routine warehouse and shipping matters, coordinating with Inventory Control, Production, Customer Service, Sales, and transportation providers. Communicate discrepancies, delays, and issues requiring escalation to the supervisor.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Use RF barcode scanners, SAP, and warehouse computer systems to verify orders, track inventory movements, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Equipment Operation and Safety: Operate forklifts and/or reach trucks safely and efficiently. Follow all company safety policies and maintain awareness of safe material-handling practices.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and shipping area. Identify equipment, tool, and supply needs and report issues as appropriate.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve safety, accuracy, workflow, and customer service. Contribute to departmental goals and promote teamwork, accountability, and timely execution.
  • Team Participation: Attend scheduled departmental and staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience operating a forklift or reach truck, or equivalent experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or comparable warehouse management systems.
  • Understanding of inventory flow and warehouse material-handling processes.
  • Experience with cycle counting, shipping, and receiving.
  • Ability to use RF scanners and computer-based inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across warehouse and production teams.
  • Ability to assist with training and cross-training team members.
