The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations and Supply Chain leads enterprise-wide planning, execution, and transformation across manufacturing operations, supply chain, logistics, planning, procurement, and continuous improvement functions. This leader champions a culture of operational excellence, leveraging structured improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, Business Systems) to drive sustainable performance gains, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The SVP collaborates with the executive leadership team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and competitive advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Alignment

  • Develop and execute unified operations and supply chain strategy that supports growth, service excellence, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • Align supply chain and operational objectives with strategy and financial goals.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, influencing platform planning, investment priorities, and policy deployment.

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

  • Champion and institutionalize continuous improvement and The BW Way methodologies as core operational drivers.
  • Drive measurable performance improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory (SQDCI) metrics across operations and supply chain.
  • Lead operational transformation programs that enhance efficiency, value stream performance, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Promote a culture of problem solving and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Supply Chain Strategy and Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain functions: demand planning, sourcing & procurement, materials & inventory management, logistics & distribution, and supplier relationship management.
  • Enhance resilience and responsiveness by optimizing network design, supplier base, inventory policies, and fulfillment strategies.

Talent Development and Organizational Capability

  • Build and lead a high-performing global team across operations and supply chain disciplines.
  • Mentor and coach leaders on continuous improvement tools and methodologies, fostering capability building and accountability.
  • Promote succession planning, workforce development programs, and cross-functional training initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering, commercial, finance, and people functions to ensure seamless integration of operational plans and customer commitments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations and supply chain roles, including significant P&L, strategic transformation, and continuous improvement leadership.
  • Proven track record driving enterprise-level transformation and measurable improvements in operational performance.
  • Experience in a multi-site industrial, manufacturing, or related global organization, with exposure to complex supply networks and business systems.

Technical & Leadership Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of Lean/Kaizen methodologies, structured problem-solving, and enterprise business systems
  • Strong analytical skills, data fluency, and experience leveraging performance metrics to drive decisions.
  • Visionary leadership with excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex change, shape culture, and foster innovation organization-wide.

Location/Travel Requirement:

  • 50% travel
  • Must be within drivable distance of one of the following cities: Phillips, WI; Madison, WI; Waukesha, WI; Sheboygan, WI; Baltimore, MD
