Job Title: Senior User Interface Designer

Reports To: Creative Director, Corporate Marketing

We're seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior UI Designer to drive the visual direction of our digital experiences across our website, marketing materials, and the front-end interfaces of our proprietary software applications. This role will be pivotal in expanding our foundational brand elements, defining global brand guidelines for web experiences, and establishing a robust and scalable design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across all customer-facing touchpoints. You’ll be a key driver in transforming how we approach digital design, fostering a collaborative environment between Creative, Product, and Development teams. This role is responsible for owning projects end-to-end, implementing best-in-class processes, and significantly impacting our brand’s digital presence, with a strong emphasis on system-level design and visual consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead visual and UI design for a range of digital experiences for the web and software interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain our design system, including components, variables, and style guides, optimized for both web and software applications.
  • Define and uphold brand guidelines for all digital touchpoints, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with developers throughout the project lifecycle – from seamless design handoff and usability testing to iterative design improvements.
  • Lead product-focused web projects partnering with designers, writers, and digital marketing teams to create compelling campaign experiences.
  • Partner with product teams to understand web experience needs and recommend holistic design solutions for significant updates and improvements.
  • Drive improvements to design and development workflows by implementing best practices for responsive web solutions and reusable UI components.
  • Conduct user research and create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and visual assets.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and platform-specific UI conventions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Visual Designer, with a demonstrated focus on building and implementing design systems for both web and software applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including advanced features like component creation, auto layout, variants, and team libraries. Must be comfortable leading others in Figma best practices.
  • A compelling online portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of design principles, user-centered design, and extensive experience with design systems.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they relate to design implementation. Experience working directly with developers is essential.
  • Experience defining and documenting brand guidelines for digital experiences.
  • Deep knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead projects, present design rationale, and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple web projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-directed approach.
