Job Description
The PRS SR TRIAGE ENGINEER supports propulsion-related In-Plant Execution, First-Level Analysis (FLA), HV Testing, and PRS SW Releasing activities across ICE, Hybrid, and BEV platforms. This role is responsible for leading technical execution, troubleshooting complex vehicle issues, and supporting production readiness and field issue triage.
Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Senior Engineer applies advanced diagnostics, calibration tools, and engineering judgment to resolve issues efficiently, guide junior engineers, and ensure alignment with engineering intent and manufacturing readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical execution of End-of-Line (EOL) testing, ECU flashing, and In-Plant readiness activities
- Perform and guide First-Level Analysis (FLA) of propulsion-related issues using logs, DTCs, and customer symptom data.
- Analyze data using tools such as INCA, CANalyzer, CANoe, and MDA to identify root causes.
- Support development, validation, and troubleshooting of calibrations (EOL, dyno, or in-vehicle).
- Provide technical direction during issue investigations, validation failures, and launch support activities
- Mentor and support junior engineers in diagnostics, tools usage, and engineering problem-solving.
- Coordinate with Propulsion Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams to resolve issues.
- Support EOL system readiness and ECU flash processes, including tracking and data integrity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of diagnostic processes, test procedures, and workflows
- Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and issue status updates to leadership.
- Support plant operations and launch activities, including travel as required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in propulsion systems, diagnostics, validation, or manufacturing support.
- Strong experience with CAN tools (CANalyzer/CANoe) and ETAS INCA
- Knowledge of ICE, Hybrid, and BEV powertrain systems and architectures
- Experience with EOL testing, ECU flashing, or triage/diagnostics activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor or provide technical guidance.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience in vehicle launch, In-Plant support, or field issue resolution
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, HIL, or virtual validation environments
- Understanding of OBD, CAN communication, and embedded controls
- Experience with data visualization or reporting tools
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety practices (PES/PAV)
