Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage traffic engineering studies, including traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrant analyses, signal timing evaluations, corridor studies, operational analyses, and safety assessments.
  • Analyze traffic data and develop recommendations using industry-standard software and modeling tools.

  • Design and review traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, work zone traffic control, and roundabouts.
  • Perform and oversee traffic analysis, forecasting, capacity evaluations, and operational assessments.
  • Support transportation planning, roadway design, and multimodal transportation projects.
  • Assist with plan reviews, traffic impact study reviews, and technical evaluations.
  • Prepare technical reports, memoranda, presentations, and supporting documentation for clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with transportation planners, roadway engineers, public agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Participate in client meetings, public meetings, and stakeholder coordination efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal transportation design standards, including MUTCD, AASHTO, and agency-specific requirements.
  • Support business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship activities as needed.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience with traffic signal systems, traffic impact studies, safety studies, corridor planning, and transportation operations.
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), emerging mobility technologies, and transportation innovation initiatives preferred.
  • Familiarity with Complete Streets, Vision Zero, and multimodal transportation planning principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, project management, and presentation skills.
