The individual in this role supports laboratory, research, and analytical activities under the direction of scientific or engineering personnel. They are responsible for operating highly technical and specialized experimental equipment, assisting with testing procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and helping ensure experiments are completed accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of the technical and theoretical aspects of the work being performed, allowing the individual to troubleshoot issues, contribute to problem-solving efforts, and work with a high level of independence. In addition to supporting daily laboratory operations, the individual may provide guidance and training to lower-level technicians and serve as a technical resource within the team. Success in this role requires demonstrated technical expertise, attention to detail, strong hands-on skills, and the ability to perform effectively with little or no supervision.
