Job Description

Are you passionate about working in AI and at scale? The Alexa Excellence team is looking for a Technical Program Manager who thrives at the intersection of operational excellence and AI innovation. In this role, you will drive programs that ensure Alexa is always available, always reliable, and always delighting hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. You will lead initiatives spanning AI-powered operations (Ops AI) — including intelligent anomaly detection, automated incident response, and predictive reliability systems — while also driving Alexa's expansion into new countries and locales. You'll operate in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment, partnering with scientists, engineers, and business leaders to deliver programs that push the boundaries of what's possible in operational intelligence at global scale. If you're excited about shaping the future of AI-driven operations and launching world-class experiences for customers around the globe, we'd love to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities
Drive end-to-end program execution — from strategy definition through launch and post-launch metrics — for initiatives that directly impact Alexa's availability and reliability for hundreds of millions of customers globally.
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Applied Science, Product, UX, and senior leadership to align on goals, remove blockers, and deliver cohesive solutions across complex technical programs.
Own roadmap prioritization and portfolio management — balancing near-term operational needs with long-term AI/ML-driven innovation, including Alexa's international expansion into new countries and locales.
Deliver scalable processes that enable the team to move with agility without sacrificing quality — establishing mechanisms for planning, execution tracking, risk management, and continuous improvement. Own load testing at scale to validate system resilience, ensure readiness, and proactively identify performance bottlenecks ahead of major launches and traffic surges.
Manage executive communication and stakeholder alignment — crafting narratives that translate complex technical programs into clear business impact, driving alignment across VP+ leadership and cross-org partners.

About the team
