Sr. Technical Engineer

of Specific Duties in a Typical Workday for this Position:

• Support engineering analyses and assessments of TADSS capabilities, performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of technical requirements, specifications, interface control documents, engineering documentation, and system artifacts.
• Support system integration efforts involving hardware, software, networks, and training enablers to ensure interoperability and mission effectiveness.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, integrated product teams, and working groups to identify technical risks, resolve issues, and support program objectives.
• Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of test and evaluation activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Support configuration management and change management processes to maintain system integrity and technical baseline control.
• Develop and contribute to technical reports, briefings, engineering recommendations, and acquisition support documentation.
• Coordinate with systems engineers, test engineers, military doctrine analysts, acquisition professionals, logisticians, and program leadership to ensure technical solutions align with training requirements and operational needs.
• Evaluate system performance and provide recommendations to improve reliability, maintainability, interoperability, and overall training effectiveness.
• Support lifecycle sustainment activities and technical problem-solving efforts across multiple training system portfolios.

Requirements (Years of Experience, Education, Certifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting engineering, systems integration, testing, or technical activities within a DoD, Federal Government, or defense training environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting technical analysis, engineering assessments, and system support activities.
• Experience supporting integration, testing, fielding, or sustainment of training systems, TADSS, or related military systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, reports, specifications, and engineering artifacts.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, acquisition, program management, and operational stakeholders.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with TADSS development, integration, fielding, or sustainment activities.
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle processes and methodologies.
• Experience supporting Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities for training systems.
• Prior military service or experience supporting Army training systems and programs.
