As a Senior Technical Course Developer within the Learning Services team in Timisoara, Romania, you will play a key role in enabling ACI employees and customers with the knowledge and skills required for success and you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world’s payments ecosystem!
In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality technical and end-user level training on ACI software. The role requires translating complex technical concepts – such as systems, environments, deployment models, and solution workflows – into effective learning experiences for diverse audiences. You will collaborate closely with product management, technical experts, and other cross-functional partners to scope training needs, architect classroom and virtual learning environments, and continuously improve course content based on feedback and business priorities. You will work independently on matters of varied complexity, consistently exercise sound judgment, especially when working with limited information, and contribute to organizational outcomes through strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and disciplined prioritization.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver high-quality technical and end user level training for both self-paced and instructor-led formats, translating complex technical concepts into effective learning experiences for diverse audiences.
Architect classroom and virtual learning environments, including supporting VM images, collaborating on configuration and deployment, and assisting with environment usage for training delivery.
Occasionally stand in as a trainer, including running first time instructor-led course pilots, to ensure successful delivery and adoption of new training offerings.
Work closely with product management, product development, sales, and other partners to scope training needs, recommend program outcomes, and align course development with business priorities.
Interpret training feedback and long-term trends to recommend and lead improvements in course offering aimed at increasing customer satisfaction.
Autonomously prioritize tasks, manage time, meet deadlines, and diplomatically redirect lower-priority work to protect focus on high-impact outcomes.
Within the Learning Services team, mentor junior course developers and provide peer review and practical guidance to raise quality, consistency, and delivery readiness.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed to succeed in this role
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field, and you are proficient in English. Your strengths in both course design and technical knowledge are outlined below.
Course design
Over 5 years’ experience in course design, development and/ or delivery
Experience with course authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate and Storyline is preferred
Ability to integrate technical elements and go beyond conceptual course design
Technical comprehension
Comfortable around technical concepts such as servers, operating systems, databases, deployment models, and solution workflows
Basic knowledge of Linux or willingness to learn basic Linux and obtain familiarity with simple programming concepts
Ability to handle technical documentation, complex information and research
