Job Description

Senior Talent Acquisition Partner

Location: Bengaluru, India

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Head – Human Resources, India

About the Role

At Toyota Automated Logistics (TAL) India, Talent Acquisition is far more than filling positions. We are looking for someone who can become a trusted talent partner to the business, help build high-performing teams, and contribute to creating an exceptional employee experience.

This role will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Software Development, Controls Engineering, Project Management, Sales and Corporate Functions to attract and hire exceptional talent across our warehouse automation business.

Beyond recruitment, this role is expected to actively support HR initiatives, employer branding, campus engagement, employee experience and other strategic projects as business needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across technical and corporate hiring.
  • Hire talent across:
    • Controls Engineering
    • PLC Programming
    • Software Development
    • Manufacturing & Production
    • Mechanical Design
    • Electrical Design
    • Project Engineering
    • Installation & Commissioning
    • Supply Chain
    • Quality
    • Sales & Corporate Functions
  • Build strong talent pipelines for niche warehouse automation skills.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and provide market intelligence.
  • Drive recruitment through direct sourcing, employee referrals, social platforms and recruitment partners.
  • Ensure exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, offer management and pre-joining engagement.
  • Maintain recruitment dashboards, hiring metrics and reports.

Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers.
  • Challenge hiring assumptions where required and recommend better hiring solutions.
  • Influence stakeholders using market insights and data.
  • Support workforce planning discussions.

Employer Branding

  • Represent TAL at career fairs, campuses and networking events.
  • Build our employer brand across LinkedIn and other recruitment platforms.
  • Drive employee referral campaigns.
  • Create innovative sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill roles.

HR Projects & Cross-functional Support

This role is expected to contribute beyond recruitment by supporting initiatives such as:

  • Employee Engagement
  • Learning & Development coordination
  • HR communications
  • Campus hiring programs
  • HR process improvements
  • HR analytics
  • Policy rollouts
  • Employer branding campaigns
  • Culture initiatives
  • Special HR projects as assigned

We value individuals who willingly step outside their defined role to help the organization succeed.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Demonstrates high integrity by maintaining confidentiality, acting ethically, and building trust through transparency.
  • Takes ownership by being accountable, proactive, solution-oriented, and willing to go beyond defined responsibilities.
  • Communicates effectively with strong verbal, written, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Exhibits learning agility by quickly adapting, embracing feedback, and developing an understanding of engineering and warehouse automation.
  • Collaborates as a team player with a positive attitude, supporting broader HR initiatives and contributing beyond Talent Acquisition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
  • MBA/PGDM in HR preferred

Experience

  • 7 - 10 years of Talent Acquisition experience
  • Experience hiring technical warehouse automation talent preferred
  • Exposure to Engineering, Manufacturing, Automation, Robotics, Industrial Equipment or Technology hiring will be an advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter, job portals and networking
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Good knowledge of recruitment metrics
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint preferred

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Treats every hiring decision as a long-term investment for the business.
  • Builds relationships based on trust and credibility.
  • Is comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Takes initiative without waiting to be asked.
  • Is equally willing to recruit, organize an engagement event, improve a process, or support an HR project when the business needs it.
  • Demonstrates humility, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset aligned with Toyota's culture.

This version goes beyond a typical recruiter JD and is likely to attract candidates who are comfortable in a high-ownership HR environment rather than those looking for a narrowly defined recruitment role.
