About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Talend Developer with strong ETL/data integration expertise and full-stack development capability to design, build, and support enterprise data pipelines and backend services. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Talend 8 (or later), a solid Java/Spring Boot background, and proven production support experience — ideally within healthcare provider onboarding and payments systems.

Key Responsibilities

·                  Design, develop, and maintain ETL/data integration jobs using Talend (Data Integration / Big Data / Cloud), Control M , EDW

Build and support backend services and integration components using Java and Spring Boot

Design and optimize data models and queries across Oracle, PostgreSQL, Terradata and MongoDB

Develop event-driven and streaming data flows using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topic design)

Build, schedule, and monitor batch and real-time data pipelines feeding downstream healthcare/payment systems

Provide production support for both Talend jobs and Java/Spring Boot services — triage failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes under SLA

Tune ETL job performance, troubleshoot data quality issues, and manage error-handling/retry frameworks

Collaborate with business and data teams to translate provider onboarding and payment/claims requirements into technical data flows

Write unit/integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Talend and Java deployments

Document data mappings, job designs, runbooks, and support procedures

Participate in on-call/rotational production support

Required Skills & Qualifications

·                  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

10+ years of professional experience in data integration/ETL development, with strong hands-on Talend expertise (Talend 8.x or later)

Solid development experience with Java and Spring Boot

Strong experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB — schema design, query optimization, data modeling across relational and NoSQL systems

Practical experience with Apache Kafka in production data pipelines

Demonstrated production support experience — incident management, debugging live ETL/data pipelines and backend services, performance tuning

·                  Healthcare industry experience, specifically in provider onboarding and payment/claims processing systems — strongly required

Solid understanding of data integration patterns, batch/real-time processing, and error-handling frameworks

Experience with job scheduling/orchestration tools (e.g., Talend Management Console, Autosys, Airflow, or similar)

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)

Nice to Have

·                  Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (S3, Lambda, RDS, MWAA/Airflow)

Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch)

Experience with microservices architecture and REST API development

Knowledge of HIPAA/regulatory compliance requirements in healthcare data handling

Experience migrating legacy ETL workloads to modern cloud-native pipelines

Soft Skills

·                  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially under production incident pressure

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business/domain stakeholders

Ownership mindset — comfortable with on-call/rotational support responsibilities
