• Manages, maintains, monitors and supports the infrastructure environment in assigned technology domain
• Installs, configures and supports hardware and software required to operate assigned technology
• Works with operations, to provide ongoing maintenance including updates, patches and antivirus updates
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues in assigned technology including hardware, software, operating systems and application-related issues; Conducts performance monitoring, systems health checks and capacity planning
• Identifies the common causes of the defects, prioritizes them and systematically removes them so that they do not reoccur in further development work and reduces the overall defect injection rate (DIR)
• Ensures validation has happened (peer, stakeholders) and all review comments have been closed / incorporated before delivery of any artifacts
• Ensures the quality of the deliverables as per the defined defects standards
• Takes complete ownership for the assigned task and reports progress of the project / task to all stakeholders timely; Keeps all stakeholders informed in a timely manner of scope creep and schedule delays
• Documents issues with resolutions and work directly, both inside and outside the team, to drive constant improvement
• Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
