Job Description

Fusion HCR is hiring!  Direct Hire – Sr Systems Administrator! This is a permanent opportunity, onsite in Pt Mugu, CA working with our client in the government space. 

Location: Naval Base Ventura County – Point Mugu, CA



We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage mission networks and laboratory environments in Point Mugu, CA This role requires expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Microsoft Windows Server, virtualization, containerization, automation, and secure system sustainment in a DoD environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deploy, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure
  • Administer RHEL and Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise storage
  • Manage containerized workloads (Docker/Podman) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell
  • Ensure systems comply with DoD cybersecurity policies and DISA STIGs
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure issues
Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance required
  • 5–7+ years enterprise systems administration experience
  • 2+ years RHEL administration experience
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
Preferred:
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Microsoft Windows Server certifications
  • Experience with Nutanix, Rubrik, InfoBlox, LogRhythm, Tanium, SCCM/MECM/Intune
