Job Description

Organization: Novo Nordisk Global Business Solutions (GBS)

Shape the security architecture behind life-saving medicines, and lead SAP authorization solutions at the heart of a global healthcare transformation.

Your new role

As an SAP Security Authorization Specialist within our SAP Authorizations Centre of Excellence, you’ll design and implement enterprise-grade security solutions that protect critical business and GxP-regulated processes across our global SAP landscape. You’ll be instrumental in our S/4HANA transformation journey, ensuring security excellence across Product Supply, R&D, Finance, and HR.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing SAP authorization solutions across multiple application areas including FI, HR, WM, MM, SRM, ATTP, PPPI, PM, QM, GBT, APO, and SD — supporting some of our most financially and GxP-critical IT processes
  • Playing a key role in the design and implementation of S/4HANA security architecture within the Novo Nordisk SAP landscape
  • Working closely with the Product Owner and SAP Authorizations team to execute and prioritize requirements in the SAP security product backlog
  • Developing and implementing security strategies and policies for the ECC to S/4HANA migration, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Reviewing business blueprints and functional specifications for SAP security role development, participating in user acceptance testing and go-live phases
  • Evaluating business risks associated with security role design, implementing appropriate controls, and providing recommendations to simplify and streamline security design
  • Providing overall leadership for the SAP Authorization Agile team within deliveries and guiding vendor partners

Your new department

In Enterprise IT & Quality, you will be part of a business area that drives impact across the full Novo Nordisk value chain. We strive to stay close to our stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver on their needs, helping reach millions of people living with serious chronic diseases. Our focus is on being at the forefront within our three areas; ensuring the highest quality for patients, being a trusted tech leader and an environmentally responsible business.

You’ll join the SAP Emerging Tech and Authorizations team at Novo Nordisk, responsible for SAP security architecture and governance across our global SAP landscape. Our SAP environment underpins critical business and regulated processes spanning Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D — making security excellence both a business imperative and a compliance priority.

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for an SAP security expert who thrives in complex, regulated environments and brings both technical depth and strategic thinking. You’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar graduate qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration, combined with relevant IT and business experience
  • 10-12 years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP authorization design and implementations across Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Logistics areas
  • Proven experience in SAP ECC / S/4HANA authorization and security project implementations
  • Deep understanding of information security management principles, SAP application authorization implementation, and role-based access design
  • Experience as a Scrum Master or member of an agile delivery team, with solid knowledge of Agile principles, methodology, and events
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) in English, with the ability to represent Novo Nordisk with users and external stakeholders
  • Ability to evaluate business risks, implement security controls, and provide strategic recommendations on security design optimization
