Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs for rack systems, including structural components, mounting mechanisms, and integration, especially for in-rack and cross-rack cabling design.
  • Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet load, stress, and performance requirements.
  • Work closely with other engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate rack systems with other components and systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure materials and components meet design specifications.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to incorporate best practices into design processes.
  • Come out related documentation for better team work. Ex. SOP, Manual…

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing rack systems or similar mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and simulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to rack systems.
  • Experienced in rack cabling design is plus.
