Client: FL Government Agency

Position: Sr System Administrator

Term: July 2026 - June 2027 with renewal opportunity

Compensation: Pay = $67-$70/Hr

Location: ON SITE Tallahassee, FL NO RELOCATION MUST BE IN TALLAHASSEE REGION CURRENTLY

Work Authorization: ONLY USC and GC no other visas will be considered

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

6+ years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field is required.
3-5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments and supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services is highly desired.
2-3 years of experience in the following:
Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
IIS Administration
Network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions.
AWS cloud systems is required and Microsoft Azure and GCP cloud systems is highly desired.
Administration of Microsoft software
Linux is a plus

Responsibilities:

Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties
Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades.
Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance.
Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; and establishing connections and firewalls.
Maintains network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor.
Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings.
Recommend and assist with the building and hosting of complex application solutions.
Understand, deploy, and manage AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or other cloud services.
