Job Description

About the Role

As the Sr. Strategic Operations Manager - Global Membership Growth, you will shape how Uber One grows through the Mobility business. You will develop new membership offerings, define acquisition strategies, and identify opportunities to make Uber One more compelling for audiences such as travelers and families.

You will work closely with global and Regional Operations, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to turn customer insights, competitive intelligence, and rigorous analysis into actionable recommendations. Success requires a strategic thinker who moves with purpose, brings structure to ambiguous problems, and influences cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results.

What You'll Do

  • Develop new membership offerings: Partner with global teams and Product stakeholders to identify, design, test, and scale membership benefits, packages, and experiences that grow the Uber One member base through Mobility
  • Shape acquisition strategy: Recommend how and where to invest to acquire members efficiently, balancing growth opportunities with acquisition costs, member value, and long-term business performance
  • Build audience-specific growth strategies: Understand the needs of audiences such as travelers and families, and translate those insights into tailored membership propositions and acquisition approaches
  • Inform competitive positioning: Track the evolving membership and Mobility landscape, assess emerging opportunities and threats, and recommend strategies that strengthen Uber One’s value proposition
  • Turn insights into action: Use data to size opportunities, develop business cases, prioritize recommendations, and evaluate experiments to inform investment and scaling decisions
  • Drive cross-functional execution: Build alignment around shared priorities, coordinate delivery with partner teams, and track progress against clear success measures

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience using data to uncover insights, assess tradeoffs, build business cases, and measure outcomes. You can translate complex analyses into clear recommendations
  • You integrate AI into how you research, analyze, and execute—using it to accelerate learning, improve decision-making, and scale your impact while applying sound judgment to its outputs. You’re not just a prompter - you partner with AI tools to multiply your ideas and impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • You build trusted relationships and drive alignment in a matrixed organization, influencing priorities and decisions through evidence, clear communication, and collaboration
  • You independently lead complex work streams, communicate a clear point of view, and adapt your approach as new evidence emerges
  • You bring structure to ambiguous challenges, develop clear recommendations grounded in customer and business needs, and translate strategy into practical plans that deliver results
  • Experience growing membership programs or subscription businesses, including acquisition, value proposition development, pricing, or packaging
  • Experience working in emerging or international markets, with an understanding of how customer needs and market dynamics shape growth strategies
  • Experience developing growth strategies for Mobility, travel, or other consumer platforms

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
