Your Job

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Strategic Account Manager to drive growth within the enterprise structured cabling and connectivity market. This role combines strategic account management and new business development, focusing on expanding Molex's presence with enterprise end users, contractors, consultants, distributors, and system integrators.

The successful candidate will inherit active accounts and be responsible for developing a robust pipeline of target customers while identifying opportunities to convert new business. This is a highly strategic role requiring an established industry network, deep market knowledge, and the ability to create value through long-term customer relationships.

This position is remote and can be located anywhere on the U.S. East Coast excluding Florida. Up to 50% travel within the territory is expected.

What You Will Do

  • Manage assigned accounts while developing and executing a strategic growth plan across the territory.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of target accounts, focusing on converting opportunities into long-term revenue growth.
  • Develop relationships with enterprise end users, contractors, consultants, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the enterprise structured cabling market.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closing activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across technical, procurement, and executive leadership levels.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and supply chain teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Leverage market intelligence and customer insights to influence commercial strategy and identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent Molex at customer meetings, industry events, and trade organizations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and account planning activities to ensure continued growth and customer satisfaction.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience selling copper and fiber structured cabling, connectivity, network infrastructure, or related enterprise technology solutions
  • Demonstrated experience growing strategic accounts and developing new customer accounts.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and generate business with enterprise customers, contractors, consultants, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, territory plans, and account growth strategies.
  • Ability to communicate technical and commercial value propositions to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Existing relationships and active engagement within the enterprise structured cabling industry.
  • Demonstrated success converting industry relationships into new business opportunities.
  • Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor serving the enterprise connectivity market.
  • Enterprise sales experience with data center, structured cabling, or network infrastructure solutions.
  • RCDD certification is a plus but not required.
  • Strong understanding of channel and distribution sales models.
  • Established network of customers, consultants, contractors, and industry influencers

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $190,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
