Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to lead DevOps strategy, transformation, and operational excellence for large-scale enterprise software products. The role will own the design, implementation, and modernization of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, infrastructure automation, and platform reliability. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both legacy DevOps technologies such as Jenkins and modern cloud-native platforms including Kubernetes and Docker. This individual will drive DevOps transformation initiatives, enabling scalable, secure, and highly available deployments across product portfolios. The role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Operations, Cyber Security, and Services teams. The candidate will establish best practices for release engineering, environment management, monitoring, and observability. Experience leading DevOps transitions for complex enterprise applications is essential. A strong focus on automation, developer productivity, platform scalability, and operational efficiency is expected. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader and mentor while driving continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Define and own the DevOps strategy, roadmap, standards, and best practices across enterprise software products and platforms.
  • Lead modernization efforts from legacy CI/CD technologies to cloud-native deployment architectures leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous integration, testing, deployment, and release management.
  • Drive DevOps transformation initiatives across multiple products, teams, and environments to improve deployment reliability, speed, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Operations, Services, and Security teams to ensure robust, secure, and resilient software delivery processes.
  • Establish operational excellence through automation, monitoring, observability, incident management, platform reliability, and continuous improvement programs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with DevOps platforms and CI/CD ecosystems, including Jenkins, Git-based workflows, artifact repositories, and release automation.
  • Hands-on expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native deployment models.
  • Proven experience leading DevOps modernization and migration initiatives for large-scale enterprise applications and distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent), configuration management, and environment automation.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and reliability solutions using modern operational tooling and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, software delivery pipelines, security integration, and DevSecOps best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive experience managing enterprise CI/CD platforms and large-scale deployment ecosystems.
  • Experience with both on-premises and cloud-hosted application deployments in hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes platform operations, container security, service mesh technologies, and cloud-native application architectures.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, automated compliance checks, security scanning, and quality gates within delivery pipelines.
  • Prior experience supporting mission-critical enterprise products with high availability, disaster recovery, and operational resiliency requirements.
