The Position:
We are looking for a Senior SQA Automation Analyst with expertise in both API and UI-based automation testing to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in API test automation using tools likeRestAssuredand experience in UI test automation frameworks, along with a solid foundation in manual testing. Proficiency in BDD frameworks and Java is essential.

The selected individuals will work out of the Contour Software Lahore/Karachi/Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Role and Responsibilities:
Automation Development:
Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using BDD/Cucumber, Java, and other tools for robust and scalable test coverage.
API Automation:
Design and implement API automation frameworks and scripts using tools likeRestAssured
Validate API performance, functionality, and security by creating and executing detailed test cases.
Debug and resolve issues in API services, collaborating closely with developers.
UI-based Automation:
Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using tools like Selenium.
Ensure seamless user interface functionality through robust end-to-end testing strategies.
Automate repetitive UI tasks to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
Manual Testing:
Perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing across web and mobile platforms.
Defect Management:
Document, track, and resolve issues identified during testing, collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders.
General Responsibilities:
Collaborate in Agile teams, participating in sprint ceremonies to align testing efforts with development cycles.
Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve QA processes.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, InformationTechnology, orrelated field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing across multiple platforms.
Hands-on experience in API automation withRestAssuredand Postman.
Strong understanding of RESTful services and API validation techniques.
Hands-on experience in UI testing and automation with tools such as Selenium, Playwright and related frameworks.
Proficiency in BDD frameworks like Cucumber with Gherkin syntax.
Strong programming skills in Java for test automation development.
Familiarity with SQL for database validation and back-end testing.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
Experience with version control systems like Git and continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented test scripts.
Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively
