Job Description

Oracle HCM Functional Lead is responsible for leading and implementing changes to Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) modules based on business requirements. This involves gathering and documenting requirements, designing configurations, managing implementations, and providing expert guidance on HR processes and best practices. Key duties include working with technical team on defects, configuring changes, loading data, leading testing efforts, and collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery and support.

This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.

Core Responsibilities

  • Gather, define, and document business requirements, and map them to Oracle Cloud HCM, including creating functional design documents.
  • Lead the end-to-end HCM modules implementation and configurations, including setup, testing and maintenance of profile structures, integration management, and system enhancements.
  • Identify, track, and resolve defects or issues in HCM. Work with technical team to triage defects, test and implement bug fixes.
  • Oversee data loading and conversions, such as using HCM Data Loader (HDL), for workforce and worker data.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and to manage project progress.
  • Provide guidance, resolve issues, coordinate with support teams, and perform regression testing on new releases. Prepare test cases and manage the entire testing process.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, functional specifications, operating procedures and training materials for end-users.
  • Direct and coordinate the efforts of functional and technical teams, including offshore teams.
  • Comply with the Company's Standards of Business Conduct, Data and Cyber Security, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI) policies and practices.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years relevant work experience or
  • Associate's Degree and 5 years relevant work experience or
  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 years relevant work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years relevant work experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Proven experience leading full lifecycle implementations, required.
  • Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies, required.
  • Strong communication project management, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, required.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments while working under tight deadlines, required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, industry best practices, policies, and compliance requirements, preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Oracle Fusion Functional Setup Manager (FSM), preferred.
  • Experience with data loading tools like HDL and knowledge of reporting tools such as OTBI, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands

  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
