The Senior Specialist, Engineering supports the onsite execution of capital projects in manufacturing environments. This role works closely with engineering, operations, and contractor teams to ensure equipment and systems are installed safely, meet quality standards, and are ready for commissioning and startup.
This position is ideal for an experienced engineering professional who enjoys hands-on field work, problem-solving, and collaborating across teams in fast-paced environments.
What You'll Do
Support installation, commissioning, and startup of capital equipment and systems
Coordinate contractor and supplier activities onsite
Maintain consistentpresence on the manufacturing floor or construction job site
Assess installation quality and mechanical readiness
Serve as a liaison between engineering, plant teams, and contractors
Promote strong safety, GMP, and food safety practices
What You Bring
Experience supporting onsite execution of capital projects in manufacturing or industrial environments
Several years of relevant handson experience in manufacturing, maintenance, utilities, or capital project execution roles
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical field execution capability
Formal Education in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely-related technical discipline is beneficial when paired with relevant field experience

No direct people management or project management responsibility
This role is highly collaborative and requires frequent interaction with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and plant stakeholders
Travel & Work Conditions
Extensive travel required (approximately 75–80%) during execution and commissioning phases
Off-shift and weekend work required to support on-site execution, commissioning, and startup activities
Sustained directengagementon the manufacturing floor or other active field construction locations
