Royal Caribbean Group’s Finance team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Assistand Accounting reporting to the Lead, Accounting.

Accounting Analyst is responsible of all accounting activities, GL entries and reconciliations needed to have updated financial statements. This position is responsible of supporting and maintaining accounting principles, practices, controls and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring that all accounting tasks (including AP & AR) are properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and supports accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and payroll reconciliations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares month end close, accounting records, requests needed reclassification of entries to maintain the accuracy of the information for Balance Sheet and P&L GL entries.
  2. Responsible for accounts receivable supervision that includes issuing TP invoices for all Mexican legal entities.
  3. Prepares reports and needed information to reconcile the intercompany accounts every month for all Mexican legal entities.
  4. Supports monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation process.
  5. Responsible for reviewing that fixed assets and project accounting has been coded to the correct GL accounts.
  6. Supports to prepare Audited Financial Statements if needed, specially for the private destinations dedicated legal entities.
  7. Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  8. Identify and recommend control process improvements, aligned with Global Controls and Process, propose and develop Best Practices.

**Description includes mainly activities but are not limited, to be aligned with Year Business Goals.

  • Mexico Finance Accounting Team
  • International Accounting (Miami)
  • International Accounting (UK)
  • External Auditors (when needed)
  • Mexico Payroll team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
  • 2 - 3 years related administrative and controlling experience preferred in corporate finance.
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in accounts reconciliation processes.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Strong proactivity and self-guided orientation towards goals accomplishments (team´s and self).
  • Teamwork abilities to be able to work effectively with several levels and areas of the company.
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point knowledge.
