Job Description

  • Blue Yonder is currently seeking Sr Solution Architect to join our Consulting Services team, specific to the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Senior Solution Architect provides leadership and direction to the on-site implementation team on the design and execution of the solution and definition of business process workflows that accompany the solution. The aim of this role is to take ownership of a solution within an implementation project and architect software solutions that solve the customer’s business problem, while generating maximum value for the customer..

Scope:

  • Core responsibilities to include Designing, Developing, Unit testing and Validation of New modification and provide support to any production issues related to Modification

Our current technical environment:

  • Software: Java, Java Script, GIT, Rest API, XML/XSLT, MS SQL, PL/SQL

  • Application Architecture: MOCA, PageBuilder and Integrator

  • Cloud Architecture: MS Azure

  • Databases – Oracle / SQL Server

What you’ll do:

  • Leveraged as the Blue Yonder/RedPrairie WMS solution expert for transformational projects/programs

  • Strong domain knowledge in Blue Yonder/RedPrairie WMS solution to understand how the Blue Yonder solutions can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes

  • Strong domain knowledge in Blue Yonder/RedPrairie Discrete WMS solution to construct an overall architecture for current and future customer business needs

  • Key contributor to the Change Management efforts for global or regional program implementations

  • · Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences

  • Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology

  • Assists Project Manager(s) in planning efforts

  • Able to ask appropriate questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints

  • Can demonstrate and facilitate integration discussions of product functionality and product architecture (i.e. Show data and process flow from one Blue Yonder solution to another)

  • Lead the project team to design and develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens to ensure smooth integration between technical and functional business requirements

  • Lead the project team in preparing Product Requirement Specifications, test plan for modifications

  • Interact closely with Development services in modification development, quality delivery and organizing demonstrations with customers on modifications.

  • Creates and modifies procedural and system documentation throughout the project

  • Supports the development and execution of test scripts to ensure Blue Yonder consistently meets the customer's business objectives

  • Provides level 3 non-technical support during the "go-live" period

  • Provides level 3 user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity

  • Serves as a technical liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Project Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors.

What we are looking for:

  • 12 – 16 years of corporate experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant discipline.

  • Expertise in technical configuration of WMS product, Solution Integration, Quality Assurance, System Testing, PLSQL, SQL Server, and Performance Tuning.

  • Hands-on Experience on Technical configuration of WMS product (preferably Blue Yonder /RedPrairie WMS), Jasper reports, Nice labels, Pagebuilder and MOCA.

  • Knowledge on interfaces between WMS and ERP/Host, TMS, WLM, T&T, Parcel, 3rd party system that integrates with WMS.

  • Knowledge on integration between WMS and Voice / Material Handling / ASRS systems

  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.

  • Excellent computer skills with in-depth knowledge of operating systems, client/server technology, ERP systems, Integration and Middleware technologies and applications

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers, partners and consultants

  • Strong proactive communicator and presenter, able to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization to maximize problem resolution while effectively presenting information and responding to highly specialized technical questions

  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively and proactively work independently

  • Teamwork mentality

  • Contributes to the growth of the technical consulting practice by developing and maintaining practice aids, databases, best-practice collateral.

  • Ensures compliance with the following internal and external company policies and procedures: Company project methodology On-time submission of Time, Travel and Expenses report Company procedures related to travel and expenses

  • Skill set and availability requirements as per the organization's needs

  • Knowledge in performance tuning techniques is added advantage.

  • Knowledge on Azure fundamentals

  • Provides guidance to Support Services in responding to base technical issues.

  • Understanding and experience with the technical requirements for the product line assigned.

  • Understanding of Database structures. Understanding of various technical platforms and infrastructures.

  • Understands Blue Yonder product suite so as to convey relationships and touch-points to the customer.

  • Works with appropriate parties to ensure issues are resolved.

  • Travel readiness based on business needs.
