Job Description

Trilogy Federal drives innovative solutions for complex business challenges across financial management, healthcare, and government industries. Our collaborative, client-first service approach, combined with our commitment to the rapid implementation of pragmatic solutions, has earned Trilogy an unparalleled reputation for delivering transformative results.

Trilogy Federal is seeking a Senior Solution Architect with deep expertise supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other Federal health and financial mission environments. This role is responsible for architecting enterprise modernization solutions spanning business processes, policies, platforms, data ecosystems, and legacy transformation strategies that align with agency mission priorities.

The Senior Solution Architect operates at the intersection of business development, capture strategy, and delivery execution, ensuring Trilogy’s solutions remain grounded in real customer needs, operational realities, and emerging modernization priorities. The role partners closely with Trilogy leadership, BD Operations, capture teams, and program delivery organizations to continuously refine differentiated, mission-aligned solutions.

This role is remote, but we require candidates who are open and able to travel to our Headquarters in Clarendon, VA on an occasional basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute Corporate BD CONOPS and implement Trilogy best practices.
  • Architect mission-aligned enterprise modernization solutions that integrate legacy transformation, cloud adoption, workflow automation, data platforms, and AI-enabled capabilities across VA and Federal healthcare environments.
  • Translate agency strategic priorities, operational pain points, and policy drivers into executable technical architectures, implementation roadmaps, and modernization transition strategies.
  • Ensure all proposed architectures align with Agency enterprise standards, Federal shared-service initiatives, Zero Trust requirements, cloud-first mandates, and DevSecOps delivery frameworks.
  • Maintain deep understanding of Agency business domains, including financial management, healthcare operations, benefits delivery, human capital modernization, and enterprise data ecosystems, to inform holistic solution design.
  • Support capture activities by contributing solution strategies, technical narratives, modernization sequencing approaches, and feasibility assessments during gate reviews and pursuit planning.
  • Lead, author, and review technical volumes and additional proposal volumes across multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with delivery leadership and program teams to extract lessons learned, identify recurring customer challenges, and continuously refine reusable solution accelerators and modernization playbooks.
  • Align Trilogy solution approaches with evolving customer priorities by maintaining situational awareness of agency initiatives, policy changes, platform adoptions, and enterprise architecture direction.
  • Lead integration of leading-edge platforms and partner technologies into Trilogy solution architectures while ensuring interoperability with existing Federal enterprise systems and shared services.
  • Coordinate across executive leadership, capture managers, practice leads, and technical SMEs to maintain consistency between Trilogy’s delivery capabilities and forward-looking solution strategies.
  • Develop architectures that balance innovation with implementation realism by incorporating adoption constraints, governance requirements, workforce readiness considerations, and acquisition pathways.
  • Identify technical capability gaps and recommend investments, partnerships, or accelerators that strengthen Trilogy’s competitiveness in enterprise modernization pursuits.
  • Represent Trilogy’s solution vision in customer engagements, technical exchanges, partner strategy sessions, and internal modernization planning discussions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of business development experience, which must have included experience capturing federal healthcare opportunities at VA, DHA, HHS, and other Federal, State, and Local government organizations.
  • Understanding of, and experience with, the Federal procurement process and regulations (e.g., FAR)
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and interpersonal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for Task Order identification, customer engagement, and Task Order proposal response.
  • Proven self-starter with a high degree of discipline and attention to detail. Must be results driven while retaining relationship equity, participating in all aspects of a complete capture that results in the award of programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively execute the business development function collaboratively with operational and functional leadership.
  • Working knowledge and experience operating within a Shipley business development and capture framework.

Benefits (including but not limited to):

    About Trilogy Federal

Trilogy’s story began in 2009 when our founders decided to combine the best practices and lessons learned from working across both large and small organizations to launch a new company focused on delivering client-centric, high-quality solutions. Together, these leaders saw an opportunity to create a different type of company with the goal of supporting our Federal clients, with special emphasis on helping our nation’s Veterans. Influenced by two shared work experiences at other organizations, our company’s founders were determined to make the third chapter in their careers the very best it could be. They named this chapter Trilogy.

Trilogy was founded with core value system that balances service delivery excellence with a people-centric culture. Building on our foundation of implementing, operating, and modernizing Financial Management systems, Trilogy has evolved to provide our clients and partners with a wide range of professional services via a collaborative, client-first approach to solving their most challenging problems. This approach, combined with our commitment to the rapid implementation of pragmatic solutions, has earned Trilogy an unparalleled reputation for delivering transformative results.
