Position Specific Description

This position sits within NextEra Energy's non- nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. This individual will perform the maintenance, electrical & mechanical day to day operations at Resurgence I & II in Boron, California.

Relevant skills are included include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrated safety behaviors and values

• Maintenance of vegetation

• Grounding and switching

• Management of contractors

The main focus of the job is to perform mirror and HCE tube cleaning. The position is part of a six-man crew. The team will have to be proficient in operating the mirror-washing equipment, including tractor operation, water truck operation, and mirror-washing brush equipment. When mirror wash cannot be accomplished, the team will be utilized to perform site clean-up or minor maintenance on mirror wash equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Washes mirror panels with mirror washing equipment
• Washes heat collecting elements with washing equipment
• Performs minor repairs on washing equipment as needed
• Performs site clean-up
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• Experience: 2+ years
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

The estimated base pay for this position is $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
