The role

We are looking for a talented Software Quality Engineer to join our Subsurface Science Engineering software quality team.

Our QE team members are responsible for testing scientific applications in the Oil and Gas exploration and production domain. This includes manual algorithm testing, functional Testing, UI testing and Automation.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of scientific applications, designing automated tests, executing them and monitoring the tests results to validate the software performance.

• Get familiar with advanced scientific software and be able to identify user test cases
• Identify software application weaknesses.
• Monitor tests results, create test reports and maintain existing test cases
• Understand product features requirements, and then develop and execute manual test cases to ensure test coverage and product quality
• Understand customer requirements, be creative in identifying product defects, and collaborate with developers to track defects until resolution
• Understand modern AI technologies and how to apply/leverage for the relevant use-cases
• Collaborate with different roles (Development, Quality, Product Management, Documentation) globally distributed

What You'll Need

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or Masters/PH. D degree in Geophysics, Geology, Reservoir Modeling, or other related disciplines.
• 5-7 years of experience working in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript - Advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in English)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong analytics skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong AI-first mindset
