What's the role?

• Engineering & Development Design algorithms and build scalable cloud-native services using Java, Scala, Python, and Apache Spark.

• Technical Design Create clear proposals, specifications, and diagrams to communicate architecture and system decisions.

• Quality & Reliability Perform root cause analysis, drive product improvements, and champion engineering best practices focused on simplicity, reliability, and measurable impact.

• Collaboration & Leadership Partner across teams and functions, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Decision-Making Balance trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability; recommend architectural or product changes backed by data-driven reasoning.

• AI & Automation Harness AI-assisted CI/CD workflows to optimize pipelines — reducing Mean Time to Recover, enabling predictive failure detection, and enhancing code reviews with AI-powered refactoring.

• Data & Analytics Leverage Apache Spark for distributed data processing, advanced analytics, and machine learning pipelines.

Who are you?

You have hands-on, daily experience with AI coding assistants in professional settings. You know when to delegate tasks to agents versus writing code manually, how to validate AI-generated output, and how to avoid common pitfalls such as hallucinated APIs, misleading refactors, or weakened tests. You excel at decomposing ambiguous problems into clear specifications that both humans and agents can execute — writing precise prompts, providing the right context, and iterating quickly. With strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building high‑quality systems, you combine deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and a drive to make meaningful impact.

Key Experience & Skills

• Programming expertise Strong coding in Java, Scala, or Python; designing and maintaining complex, production‑grade services.

• AI-assisted development Skilled in using Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity AI for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation; writing effective prompts and establishing team-wide practices (prompt libraries, guardrails, evaluation loops).

• Testing & quality Build robust automated test suites to validate AI-generated code and maintain confidence in production systems.

• Tooling & workflows Familiar with MCP servers, agentic workflows, and integrating AI tools into developer pipelines; experienced with CI/CD tools like GitLab and embedding AI-assisted reviews.

• Cloud & distributed systems Hands-on experience building and operating scalable services in AWS; strong background in distributed systems, service‑oriented architectures, and modern development practices.

• Collaboration & leadership Effective communicator in Scrum teams; share prompts, patterns, and lessons learned to uplift the team; mentor peers and foster continuous learning.

• Decision-making Apply thoughtful, data‑informed reasoning to technical choices, balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Documentation & communication Produce clear written and visual documentation to articulate technical ideas across global, cross‑functional stakeholders.
