The Sr. Software Engineer, STIBO Product Information Management will lead Williams-Sonoma’s STIBO Product Information Management application, focusing on Item and Location modules. The role involves configuration and custom development on STIBO STEP modules, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable and extensible solutions aligned with business requirements and customer-first focus.

Key Responsibilities
• Work on STIBO STEP configuration and custom development
• Keep up to date with STEP platform versions and provide upgrade suggestions
• Set up new integrations, add object types to the data model, and develop JavaScript business rules and workflows
• Understand requirements, collaborate with product management and business teams, and transform them into solutions and technical design documents
• Work in an agile delivery environment using Jira and Git
• Debug business rules and resolve defects
• Evaluate upgrade advantages and collaborate with DevOps teams to perform upgrades
• Ensure solutions are scalable and extensible by conducting performance tests
• Coordinate closely with production support teams to ensure system stability during peak demands
• Build operational readiness, alerts, and monitoring for production support teams
• Ensure PII data security and compliance
• Recommend solutions to improve stability, maintainability, and scalability of STIBO STEP implementation
Qualifications
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
• 5+ years of experience working in the retail industry
• 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
• 5+ years of technical experience in software development using Java, JavaScript, data and database design, SQL, XML, XSD, JSON, Linux, and web services
• 5+ years of STIBO STEP configuration, development, architectural design, and integration experience, including attribute creation, business rule creation, portal development, integration endpoint configuration, and workflow creation
• In-depth understanding of relational databases (Oracle, DB2, or SQL) and ability to write and review complex operational queries
• Good understanding of RESTful API services
• Capability to define deployment processes and methodologies
• Strong technical documentation skills, including preparing solution architecture documents and reviewing design documents
• Experience building standards and reusable components for customization on packaged solutions
• Ability to assist in tool evaluations, architectural decisions, and proof of concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues within limited timeframes
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems
• Stibo STEP Certification (preferred)
• MDM/PIM experience (preferred)
