Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP Commerce Cloud Developer to design, develop, and maintain our enterprise-grade digital commerce platform. As a core development team member, you will build robust and scalable eCommerce features using SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), lead technical problem-solving, and support integration with SAP and third-party systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering best-in-class customer experiences in a fast-paced, agile environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain custom modules and extensions in SAP Commerce Cloud using Java and Spring Framework.
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Design scalable and reusable components aligned with best practices and enterprise architecture.
  • Own core eCommerce functionality (catalog, pricing, cart, checkout, order management).
  • Customize B2B and/or B2C accelerators as needed.
  • Integrate SAP Commerce Cloud with backend systems (e.g., SAP ERP, S/4HANA, SAP CPI, payment gateways, PIM, OMS).
  • Design APIs and data flows for real-time and batch interfaces.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce high standards for performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure code reliability.
  • Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, UX designers, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum setup.
  • Participate in grooming, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, system bottlenecks, and performance challenges.
  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Java development, with 3+ years in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Commerce architecture, data modeling, and extension mechanisms.
  • Experience with B2B/B2C Accelerators and OCC (OmniCommerce Connect) APIs.
  • Proficiency in Spring Framework, RESTful services, and SOLR.
  • Familiarity with cloud deployments (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud in public cloud environments) and CI/CD tools.
  • Working knowledge of SAP integrations and commerce-specific tools (e.g., SmartEdit, Backoffice, Impex).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Certified Development Specialist – SAP Commerce Cloud.
  • Experience with headless commerce and frontend technologies like Spartacus or React.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and caching strategies (e.g., Redis, CDN).
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Understanding of GDPR, PCI-DSS, or other compliance standards relevant to e-commerce.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Typically, to advance to a new job level, a candidate must demonstrate professional behaviour and should consistently be at the high end of meeting expectations or consistently exceed expectations.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
