In this role, you will participate in the development and support
of highly visible systems related to policy rating, issuance, and
premium generation. You must be able to work independently on the
design, development, and implementation of complex applications while
providing guidance to other staff members.

What You'll Do
- Understand and translate business and functional requests
into program applications.
- Participate on project teams and effectively interact with
business partners, vendor partners, Architects, and Quality
Assurance specialists.
- Design, code, test, and implement application program code
for both new and existing applications.
- Develop and execute test scenarios and test cases for unit,
integration, and system testing.
- Produce concise and accurate documentation for projects and
ensure compliance with all Chubb standards.
- Research and evaluate alternative solutions to recommend the
most efficient and cost-effective designs.
- Take the lead on assignments and mentor or provide guidance
to other staff members.
- Participate in on-call production support and monitor the
operational health and performance of production systems.
- Escalate issues following procedures to minimize system
downtime.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems analysis and
application program development.
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related
discipline.
- Proficiency in Java, RAD, DB2, MQ, and WebSphere.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Selenium, microservices, and
Azure is considered a plus.
- Management or mentoring experience along with a background in
insurance and mainframe technologies.
- Strong fundamental technical knowledge with the drive to
learn new concepts and business systems quickly.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve problems
using strong analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workload,
including working off-hours when needed.
- Advanced English skills for effective communication and
collaboration.
