Job Description

Do you want to help build some of the largest and most consequential enterprise and customer technology systems in the world? Join Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization.
IS&T is the engine behind everything Apple does for customers and for the people who build for them. It’s Apple’s central nervous system. Supporting 2.5 billion active Apple devices, processing billions of secure transactions, and keeping the technology that defines modern life running flawlessly, IS&T makes the impossible feel effortless.”

Do you love building solutions to handle global complexity and immense scale? Imagine what you could do here.

Infrastructure Services is part of IS&T and the foundation of Apple's global network operations — managing data center equipment and systems to deliver compute, storage, and networking services for teams across Apple, including its internal developer community. From individual facilities to a worldwide network, Infrastructure Services ensures the technology underneath everything works without question.

We’re looking for passionate folks who love building super-scalable, reliable, and user-friendly systems to support one of the world’s biggest cloud infrastructures. You’ll be designing, building, and running new services that help lead virtualized networks, computing, and storage. Working at our global scale brings some unique and tough challenges that require us to come up with radical innovations. These services are built using skills from different areas, like distributed systems, user experience, and modular and resilient programming. If you’re excited about innovating and building systems from scratch for the massive scale of our infrastructure, then our team might be the perfect place for you!

SDKs, or automating infrastructure deployments (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation) within
AWS or GCP environments.

Hands-on experience with packet-forwarding data paths (Open vSwitch/OVS), switching fabrics,
or network security technologies.
Proven experience building test automation frameworks specifically designed to validate network
infrastructure, alongside implementing CI/CD pipelines

5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on cloud-
native infrastructure, network automation, or systems programming.
Strong proficiency in GoLang, C or python with a willingness to work primarily in GoLang. A
solid understanding of concurrency patterns and writing high-performance code.
Deep working knowledge of L3/L4 networking - IPv4/IPv6, dual-stack, Routing, IPAM, NAT,
DNS, implementations. Strong understanding of traffic steering, policy-based routing, and
stateful connection tracking.
Strong experience troubleshooting network connectivity and routing issues directly within cloud
environments using cloud metrics, flow logs, and packet analysis tools (e.g., tcpdump,
Wireshark).
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
