AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Sr. Software Engineer.

AGCO is looking for a self-motivated and technically skilled candidate for the position of Sr. Software Engineer.

In our Research and Development organization, you will contribute to future-oriented connected and digital solutions that enable smarter, more efficient agricultural machines. Working in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, you will help design and develop embedded software that connects machines, systems, and cloud services across global product platforms.Our teams work closely with product management, systems engineering, suppliers, and end customers to ensure solutions deliver real value in productivity, reliability, and sustainability. You will be part of the global Connected Services engineering team responsible for embedded software running on connectivity and performance ECUs within AGCO’s machine ecosystem. In this role, you will develop, integrate, and maintain embedded Linux–based software components, supporting communication, diagnostics, and over-the-air capabilities.You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, and validation. The position offers strong team collaboration, exposure to modern IoT and telemetry technologies, and the opportunity to shape the future of connected agricultural machines.You can expect a culture that values technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement, with room to bring forward your own ideas and innovations.

Your Impact

• Coordinate and lead development activities

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux applications and build systems for connectivity ECUs

• Patch packages where issues are detected

• Maintain the continuous integration and automation of SW build processes & Work in a global agile team.

• Implement new mechanisms to improve Software Quality (Static Code Analysis, Securit Vulnerability Scans). Implementation of integration and smoke tests and automated tests to validate software

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Total 10+ years of experience with minimum 6 years of development experience in the below domains.

• 2+ years Experience leading projects and mentor small team

• Strong Experience with Linux operating system

• Strong Experience with Linux build environments (Buildroot, Yocto)

• Strong Experience with Continuous Integration (e.g. Cloudbees Jenkins, Artifactory, Conan)
