The Paradox team at Workday is transforming how the world hires. We are imagining recruitment with a first-of-its-kind conversational recruiting platform, powered by an AI assistant that streamlines candidate screening, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and more — all through simple, mobile, chat, and text message-driven experiences. About the Role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will design and lead robust APIs, data models, and background services while contributing to modern, user-friendly web interfaces. You will own features end to end — from design through launch—working closely with peers and cross-functional partners to clarify requirements, assess risks, and make trade offs that support long-term quality.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver scalable, high-quality technical solutions aligned with business and product needs.
• Apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical architecture by evaluating design options, defining technical approaches, and supporting long-term product direction.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from planning through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Identify opportunities to modernize systems, improve engineering practices, and introduce innovative technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to strengthen engineering quality and team capability.
• Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges, and drive effective mitigation plans.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend practical improvements that enhance product quality and team efficiency.
• Other duties which are assigned by the Employer or authorized person of the Employer.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development engineering.
• Solid proficiency in at least one modern programming language.

Other Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in using modern AI tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python is a plus point, experience in RESTful API design, scalable service development, and secure, reliable back-end systems.
• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented design, software architecture patterns, databases, data modeling, performance tuning, and system scalability.
• Proven ability to lead technical design discussions, influence solution approaches, and mentor team members.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners, build trust, share knowledge, and support team goals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, with the ability to design innovative solutions for complex AI-driven features.
