This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Software Developer Engineer based in India.
This is a senior frontend engineering opportunity focused on building modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications for SaaS products. You will play a key role in shaping frontend architecture, reusable component libraries, design systems, and intuitive user experiences. The position combines hands-on software development with technical decision-making, performance optimization, and engineering quality. You will collaborate closely with Product, UX/Design, and Backend teams to deliver customer-facing features from concept through production. The role also offers opportunities to mentor engineers and influence frontend standards and best practices. You will work with modern technologies including React, TypeScript, REST/GraphQL, automated testing, and contemporary development tooling. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced UI engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Accountabilities:
- Build, enhance, and maintain scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications using modern frontend technologies.
- Design and develop reusable UI components and contribute to frontend architecture, design systems, and engineering standards.
- Develop intuitive user experiences in close collaboration with Product, UX/Design, and Backend teams.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and manage complex, data-driven workflows.
- Optimize frontend performance across rendering, bundle size, application responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code following established engineering best practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and frontend architecture decisions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions that improve application reliability and performance.
- Contribute to testing strategies and automated test coverage using appropriate frontend testing frameworks.
- Support modern development practices involving Git, CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and automated delivery workflows.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the development of frontend engineering capabilities and technical standards.
- Evaluate emerging frontend technologies and approaches and recommend improvements where they can increase product quality, scalability, or developer productivity.
- Contribute to the development of large-scale, customer-facing SaaS applications with a strong focus on quality and usability.
Requirements:
- 6–8+ years of professional experience in frontend or UI software development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with solid experience applying modern frontend development practices.
- Extensive hands-on experience with React; experience with Vue or Angular is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, semantic HTML, and modern web standards.
- Experience with state management technologies such as Redux/Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Recoil.
- Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL into frontend applications.
- Proven experience designing and building reusable component libraries and frontend design systems.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, profiling, debugging, and application reliability.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of Git, CI/CD, build systems, and modern frontend engineering workflows.
- Experience with Next.js or other modern React frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and contemporary UI component libraries is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility standards, including WCAG, and strong understanding of responsive design.
- Experience with micro-frontends or large-scale frontend architecture is a plus.
- Familiarity with frontend observability and performance monitoring tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based SaaS applications is advantageous.
- Experience using Figma or similar design and prototyping tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and product-focused engineering practices.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence frontend technical standards.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality solutions.
