Accountabilities:
- Develop and enhance applications, APIs, services, and platform components focused on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Build backend solutions using Python and Java to support enterprise applications and operational services.
- Participate in application architecture decisions, ensuring solutions meet requirements for availability, resilience, security, and scalability.
- Develop integrations between enterprise systems and cloud-based services.
- Work with AWS environments, contributing to infrastructure evolution and cloud service improvements.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and operational automation solutions to improve platform reliability.
- Identify opportunities for technology modernization, process improvements, and technical debt reduction.
- Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and development best practices.
- Support the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve engineering practices, operations, and DevOps processes.
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of platform engineering standards and technical solutions.
Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Platform Engineer, Software Developer, or in similar engineering roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for service development, automation, and system integrations.
- Experience developing backend solutions using Java.
- Practical experience working with AWS environments, including services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and managed cloud services.
- Experience with distributed architectures, microservices, and scalable application design.
- Knowledge of Git workflows and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Experience with automated testing practices and software quality processes.
- Experience working in high-availability and mission-critical environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation in English.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and operational automation is a plus.
- Knowledge of tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Familiarity with messaging systems, asynchronous processing, AWS certifications, SRE practices, telecommunications, or network monitoring protocols such as SNMP is considered a plus.
- Experience supporting large-scale corporate technology environments is highly valued.
