Job Description

Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas, Inc. is looking to hire a Sr. Application Developer who is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of business and manufacturing applications that support plant and enterprise operations. This position provides technical leadership in application development, system integration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions. The role also supports best practices, technical documentation, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. This position is located in White, Georgia.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provides technical support to the team responsible for a subset of business systems applications.
• Leads in the configuration, maintenance, enhancement and support of software and web services development
• Provides assistance in one or all areas of applications programming that includes testing, design and analysis.
• Writes technical documentation
• Oversees vendor contracts and resources
• Provides guidance in best development and version control practices
• Assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications
• Perform daily application monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all applications.
• Assist implementation of various applications related to the current and future plant operations.
• Creates and maintains applications library documents and knowledgebase. Including work flow diagrams, ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and programming specifications.
• Provide trend analysis to the other IT teams to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
• Maintain excellent communication with the IT Application Manager on all tasks and projects.
• Perform on-site and remote technical support as needed.
• Participate in on call duties and willing to work on national holidays for maintenance and deployments.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sr. Software Developer will provide leadership guidance for assigned projects and mentor the junior team members. This position will work independently within the established procedures associated with the specific job function and lead by example in the effective execution of all duties and responsibilities related to the position

The starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job and/or industry. The salary range listed is what we reasonably expect to compensate generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on the specific job description. We provide a competitive compensation package along with a robust benefits program to meet your needs.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 $120,000

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Proven ability to independently design and develop a Java application full end to end
• Relational database experience specifically DB2 and SQL Server
• Experience with JavaServer pages (JSP) and servlets
• Knowledge of Service-oriented architecture
• Experience with Web Technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery
• Experience with Markup Languages such as XML, JSON
• Experience with restful webservices
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Platforms (Desktop and Server),
• Proficient at supporting Microsoft Windows Platforms (Desktop and Server)
• Proficient at supporting Microsoft SQL Server (2000 to 2022)
• Proficient in developing applications following best practices.
• Proficient with software coding using C++, .Net, Java, Visual Basic
• Experience supporting a high availability infrastructure, 24x7x365 environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required. Extensive professional experience (8+ years) in software/application development or a closely related field may be considered as an alternative to a formal degree. Preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing environments.
