Job Description

The position requires support of omni-channel systems (POS, E-com, CRM) and to manage all the issue and support efforts.

This person is responsible for below activities:

Supervising Application development, testing, maintenance, and support for business applications.

Manage testing activities wrt technology and software development projects in accordance with DevOps principles.

Ensures continuous, high velocity delivery and automated deployment through the use of software provisioning, configuration management, and/or team collaboration applications; Also develops own automation scripts and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing software application support
  • Performing analysis on software application functionality and suggesting improvements & replacements
  • Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications
  • Consulting with the software development vendors, internal users to improve application performance
  • Establishing the root causes of application errors, and escalating serious concerns to the Senior Engineer or to the service provider to resolve the issues in a timely manner
  • Identify manual activities in various business processes in collaboration with Business.
  • Propose feasible automation solutions to business stakeholders.
  • Develop automation by writing scripts to automate requirements using various market standard tools.
  • Collaborate with Application Manager and create Test Strategies for the new development activities.
  • Validate UT/IT Test Scenarios/cases created by vendors and confirm corresponding results in collaboration with vendors.
  • Prepare ST/UAT Test Scenarios/cases in collaboration with Business stakeholders.
  • Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates
  • Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics
  • Providing front-end support to business users and colleagues in other departments
  • Provide training and support creating updated manuals for business users as required

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 5 years of experience leading/managing projects (including vendor negotiations, communication with business users, etc.) as a tech lead.
  • 3 years of experience in Application System Development and Operational Support (L2).
  • 3 years of experience in testing projects (including manual and automation, etc.).
  • General knowledge of business applications and databases (Microsoft SQL Server/SQL/DDL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the retail industry is preferred: Experience in supporting e-com, POS and CRM related omni-channel platforms.
  • Experience and knowledge of PowerShell
  • Experience and knowledge of Python, C#, JavaScript, R, .NET, Java, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of Test management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
  • RPA (Automation Anywhere/Power Automate etc.) development, implementation and support experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of ETL/EDI is preferred
  • ERP knowledge (SAP, JDE/Enterprise One, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of JIRA, Confluence
