The purpose of this role is to drive Security strategic objectives through thought leadership, organizational design, management, execution and delivery of a portfolio of projects. Responsible for providing oversight and accountability for Security projects/programs of varying sizes, including transformational initiatives, with a focus on risk identification and remediation. Influences and leads large-scale change initiatives. Responsible for program financials, resource management and allocation, portfolio health, and executive reporting.
• Provides thought leadership, organizational design, management and execution.
• Directs and oversees financial management, organizational planning and design, planning and coordination of Truist Protection Services program.
• Directs organizational efforts to partner closely with security domain managers and subject matter experts to develop program design, plan, metrics, and execution strategy.
• Ensures that business cases are developed for budgeting, planning, and tracking revenue and/or expense.
• Directs and oversees relationships with business owners and technology leads to support overall program needs.
• Ensures that program activities are on a path to deliver benefits realization.
• Ensures implementation and oversight of appropriate risk management plans for program initiatives in area of responsibility.
• Monitors and challenges performance of current systems and processes.
• Identifies and advocates for solutions designed to deliver value and mitigate risk as appropriate.
• Vets new solutions and determines at what point larger issues require escalation to upper management. Leads teams or multiple teams of internal and/or external resources.
• Analyzes and collectively manages variances to the program plan and overall portfolio and makes recommendation and/or creates action plan to mitigate negative variances or to resolve issues. Articulates overall performance of multiple programs and initiatives via dashboard reporting for use by key executives.

This position is office-centric 5 days a week in one of our Truist hub locations.

3. Monitors project dependencies and consolidated status across multiple projects, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
4. Provides technical guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring compliance with requirements and quality standards.
5. Conducts comprehensive risk analysis and manages risk mitigation plans to minimize project impact.
6. Executes vendor integration, contract management, and performance evaluation where applicable.
7. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with organizational strategy.
8. Drives continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
9. Guides and may direct the work of lower-level professionals within projects or programs.
10. Ensures quality assurance and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in technical project or program management.
3. Strong knowledge of enterprise project and program management methodologies, governance, and best practices.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Bachelor's degree and eight years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to include
· General business management, consulting-type work, or other disciplines related to business management and/or technology.
· In-depth and broad knowledge within own professional discipline, such as finance, project management, change management, strategy development, etc.
· Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges, and apply best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges.
· Executive level communication skills, including negotiation, persuasion and ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.
· Demonstrated experience in Information Security, Fraud Operations, program management, program financial management, risk management, issue resolution, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conducting difficult negotiations and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables.
· Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, and needs.
· Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex programs and projects.
· Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments.
· Demonstrated executive level verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project) Experience with both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
· Strong grasp of technology development lifecycle and required tollgating.
· Financial services technology experience highly beneficial.
· Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization.
· In-depth knowledge of management and planning systems theory and practical application to complex initiatives.
· Experience with financial measurements and metrics.
