Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical property testing of materials, including strength, hardness, fracture toughness, modulus, and related evaluations.
  • Perform sample preparation for mechanical testing and material characterization.
  • Carry out material failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
  • Conduct compositional and structural characterization using techniques such as IC, FTIR, and other analytical methods as needed.
  • Analyze test results, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to project teams and business partners.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality requirements.
  • Support new method development and continuous improvement of characterization capabilities.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with global characterization teams across multiple regions, including the U.S., Korea, and Taiwan, to support research and business objectives

Education & Experience

  • Master's degree or above in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Ceramics, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial or research experience preferred.
  • Experience in materials characterization, mechanical testing and failure analysis is highly desirable

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Strong background in materials science and engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in materials, mechanical testing and sample preparation.
  • Experience in laboratory characterization techniques and data analysis.
  • Capable of independently conducting experiments and interpreting results.
  • Skilled in technical report writing and presentations.
  • Proficiency in English communication.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience with ceramic, glass, metals, or other advanced material systems.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical testing of materials and fractographic analysis.
  • Skilled in advanced sample preparation techniques for glass, ceramics, metals, and related materials.
  • Familiar with characterization techniques such as IC, FTIR, and other related analytical methods.
  • Experience in developing or implementing new characterization methods.

  • Effective teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
