Participate in planning and conducting activities to develop new products or methods/techniques within BioMerieux Clinical Microbiology product portfolio in full compliance with current quality and safety standards. Provide assistance and technical support for activities to improve or support existing products, methods or techniques.
Primary Duties:
Develop quantitative analytical test methods using LC-MS/MS following best practices as directed
Researches and investigates chemical properties of antimicrobials and authors chemical analysis reports in a prescribed format
Work cross-functionally with other departments to plan experiments based on project needs and execute per prioritization to meet timelines.
Operation of analytical chemistry instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC, IC, ICP-MS)
Provide technical input and design standard experiments to optimize experimental performance or investigate failure mode to support operations for existing products, methods, or techniques
Preparation of mobile phase solutions, standards, stocks, and samples
Responsible for accurate calculations
Collection, analysis, and reporting of data in a prescribed format Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Education and Training
Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific discipline (chemistry, micro biology, life sciences) Experience2+ years of LC-MS/MS method development experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Understanding of company policies and procedures, and productsThe ability to adapt quickly to new situations, demonstrate initiative, innovation, & creative problem-solvingTime management and organization using Calendar, MS OneNote, etcGood oral and written communication skills in English; Proficient in Microsoft Word & ExcelTraining junior scientist in LC-MS/MS analysis and other lab equipment Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day. The estimated salary range for this role is between $80,000-$110,300. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
