
In this role, the Commercial Demand Planning Leader – North America will have responsibility for developing and communicating commercial demand forecasts for Wind products to other pertinent functions such as Sourcing, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure customer needs and contractual new unit order obligations are met. Through data, analytics and market knowledge, this role helps inform tactical and strategic decisions to optimize the wind Sales, Inventory & Operation Planning (SI&OP) and proactively engages in problem solving to meet customer and business needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Commercial team to build a monthly view of customer demand schedule. Include data and analytics around product type, sourcing restrictions and other key information to inform the SI&OP and Integrated Business Plan for sourcing wind turbine components.
Leads the Global Demand Management Review Process, aggregating New Units and Repower demand from all regions, together with market and customer insights and forecasting analytics to enable approval of recommended demand from the Chief Commercial Officer.
Coordinates with SI&OP Process leader to develop a reconciled supply/demand plan and gain approval for execution of such plan from the Wind CEO.
Leads process of using multiple data sources, such as market dynamics and commercial pipeline analytics to inform a high accuracy demand forecast.
Coordinates with the sourcing team to optimize factory scheduling to align with contractual obligations in wind turbine orders and forecasted orders.
Provides required data and analytics for several Commercial Bowler KPI’s, including Wind L1 level, and helps inform Commercial Leadership team on performance of such KPI’s.
Drives Problem Solving Reviews and develops action plans to keep KPI’s on track to target.
Builds and maintains detailed analytics and Standard Work using SalesForce.com data and other data sources and to enable clear insight into how the commercial organization and ITO activity are pacing towards business goals.
Owns process for reporting executed project information to third party industry groups to enable accurate representation of GEV Wind’s install share position in each market.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 10 years experience in operational excellence and process improvement.
Minimum of 5 years experience in roles requiring oral and written communication to senior leadership and/or large groups.
Desired Characteristics
Strong data analytics skills including use of tableau, Excel and Salesforce.com.
Masters Degree from an accredited university or college.
Experience specifically in the wind OEM business.
Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Sourcing roles in industrial equipment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems through LEAN tools and influencing skills.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $151,400.00 and $252,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
