Job Description

The Services Account Manager will be responsible for managing key accounts to deliver the Best Running Fleet for GEV Onshore Wind by meeting with directly with customer leadership, developing new business, growing market share, maximizing the value proposition for GEV and the customer.

She/He will be responsible to work directly with senior customer leadership functions, close deals for a strategic pipeline of service offerings and deliver repeat business. This will require She/He lead a cross-functional team of Commercial, Risk, Proposal, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Engineering and Operations leaders to identify, prioritize, and close commercial offerings targeting the GEV installed base and services for services deals.

The collaboration will deliver and support sustainable growth while delivering value to our customers. A high level of commercial excellence, business acumen, leadership ability, technical knowledge, process management, is required to achieve outcomes.

There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own and proactively manage the strategy of the customer relationship to uncover customer needs and deliver commercial insights that challenge their status quo, tailoring messages to different stakeholders, and guiding complex buying decisions with confidence and control.

  • Articulate the GEV value across a product portfolio including requests for but not limited to transactional and contractual service offerings of Services, Parts, Conversion Modifications & Upgrades, Full-Service Agreements, Repower.

  • Deliver top line growth and bottom-line profitability targets in the Americas region through new client prospecting, demand generation campaigns, expanded scopes, regulatory, cross selling initiatives.

  • Partner and lead others to find creative solutions to grow customer share and expand price. Growth of share to include GEV installed base and service offering attachments to new unit offers.

  • Maintain and track a healthy pipeline of opportunities using Salesforce.com. ensure data accuracy, support supply chain and pricing analytics. Manage e-commerce adoption to run the business.

  • Partner with key GEV functional stakeholders including Product line, Marketing, Commercial, Sales Peers, Operations, Finance, Warranty, Engineering leadership teams as needed to maximize GEV value proposition to our customer base.

  • Actively lead and participate in regional operating reviews for account planning, growth strategy, market intelligence, contract renegotiation and Kaizen sessions to drive improved sales performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 8 years of cumulative experience in commercial sales, account management, or operations within the power generation, wind, or renewable energy industry

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
